JBKC (Season 8) 2am-3am Results

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010

Well, this week the Jack Bauer Kill Counter erupted – at least compared to the last two zero-infected episodes. While there were no Jack Bauer kills this week – although he had an arguable assist on the Marcos push – there were a mere two DAMMITs. Looks like it was another Wyattastic evening.

We do have a winner, though. Steveegg wins this lame-ass week with his guess: “Now that I’m commenting in the right post, I’ll go with 2. DAMMIT!”

Congratulations, Steve. Your sweaty Kayla bedsheets are enroute to your secured location.

Jack Bauer Kill Counter 3.5 (Season 8) 1am-2am Results

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

You know, there is nothing more infuriating than having a Jack Bauer Kill Counter that sits around collecting dust. Last week’s episode saw the JBKC take a sabbatical, and considering that this week included a Jack-led SWAT team assault, many of the guesses were high. However, some folks figured on the Wyatt jinx, and while I was working last night, I saw the grim news during my TiVo blogging. The Kill Counter took the damned night off again! No death, no destruction, no “Dammits!”

We do have a winner, though. Actually, we have a tie. Two readers were the closest to the sum total this week. Both Wisekrakr – “1, but I sure wish I’d miss this by a lot to the positive side.” – and Juan Paxety – “Hoping to get the counter spinning, I’ll guess only 1.” – guessed 1, which was one off of the actual (lame) total of zero.

Congratulations, kids. Your autographed Farhad Hassan death shrouds are on their way!

Jack Bauer Kill Counter 3.5 (Season 8) Results

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

Ya know, I am getting really tired of watching 24 and not having a decent Jack Bauer-induced body count. Hell, Jack wasn’t even in this episode all that long. You idiots at FOX realize Jack is the frakkin’ star, right? No one wants to see Chico or some Arab thug kill a guy. We want to see Jack kill 100 guys! Dammit!

Oh well, last night’s crapalooza garnered zero points. Even with the bevy of bonus options afoot. No kills, no dammits, no nothing. Believe it or not, though, we do have a winner:

Steveegg wins with nada: “Filler night – 0.”

Congratulations! You’ll receive your CTU-authorized collapsible baton in the mail shortly.

Monday, February 22nd, 2010

Here’s the post for tonight’s JBKC3.5 12am-1am. Enter your best guess in the comments. We sort of lost track of who had what because we’re a bunch of slackers who aren’t smarter than Kevin Wade’s lap dancers. We’ll have Chloe get on that, post haste – the counter, not the lap dancers.

Each week we will ask you to submit how many points you think Jack will get, the person closest wins. Submit how many points Jack Bauer will rack up in tonight’s episodes in the comments – we will publish the winner on Tuesday (2/23).

Jack Bauer Kill Counter 3.5 (Season 8) 10pm-11pm

Monday, February 8th, 2010

Here’s the post for tonight’s JBKC3.5 10pm-10pm. Enter your best guess in the comments. We sort of lost track of who had what in the first 56 hours because Arlo got his hands on the database we’re a bunch of slackers with the attention span of a typical CTU red shirt. We’ll have Chloe rebuild things shortly when Dana gets her hand out of her lap.

Since last season’s kill counter worked after a fashion, we’ll be running it again with only one modification since there will be a lot of Kim Bauer mentions. It will be a points based system that awards Jack Bauer points for doing good things like killing someone and negative points for doing bad things like saying “I’m sorry”.

Each week we will ask you to submit how many points you think Jack will get, the person closest wins. Submit how many points Jack Bauer will rack up in tonight’s episodes in the comments – we will publish the winner on Tuesday (1/26).

Here is the preliminary list of points. We may remove and/or add to this list as the season progresses, so send us any suggestions you may have.

Jack Bauer Kill Counter – Hours 23-24

Monday, May 18th, 2009

I have no idea what happened last week since I was too having a child. Actually my wife did most of the work, unfortunately she wouldn’t let me watch 24 while she was in labor.  DAMMIT!  I didn’t name my child “Jack”, my wife snuffed that one out when we found out she was pregnant.  Her exact words were: “it it’s a boy, we are not naming him after Jack Bauer”.

Can someone let me know how many points were scored last week?

Jack Bauer Kill Counter – Hour 22

Monday, May 11th, 2009

Last week Jack Bauer continued his apologizalooza that left us in negative points once again. However with a week that included Jack Bauer headbutting a fashion designer, I think Jack will redeem himself tonight. Also, if Jack Bauer headbutts anyone on the show, it’s now worth 20 points.

This week – the previews show that Kim is back, most likely to donate stem cells – which she will find a way to screw up.  Plus, Jack has Tony at gunpoint…again.  Let’s hope he doesn’t crap out like last time.  Does Tony get a silent clock if Jack kills him?

Jack Bauer Kill Counter – Hour 21

Monday, May 4th, 2009

Last week Jack Bauer apologized for everything short of Swine Flu (H1N1 if you live in a state with a pork lobby).  However he did tear Honey Gold a new one, which is probably in my top 10 moments of 24.    Let’s hope he gets more shooting than shaking this episdode.

Kim Bauer made her return last week, Tony went bad like some month-old potato salad..  There was some explosions and some shooting, however Jack Bauer cried and apologized more times than Jim Baker and the kill counter ended up in the negative.  Dammit.

Jack Bauer Kill Counter – Hour 18

Monday, April 13th, 2009

Mooo….mooo….moooo.

I came in 15 minutes late for last week’s episode and I missed the whole Mad Cow – Jack Bauer scene.  Dammit.  However I did get to see Jonas Hodges use a scotch decanter to whoop some ass.  Hodges has to be near the top of my favorite villians on 24.   Marwan was pretty badass – but Behrooz was his son and that caused him to lose evil points.  Victor Drazen had a cool name, Nina hot and evil.  But Hodges…that guy is just pure evil.

Jack Bauer Kill Counter – Hour 17

Monday, April 6th, 2009

Just as I was bragging about how this season, there really have been no “transition” episodes with nothing happening….along comes the mid-season transition.  How bad were things last week?  Larry Moss went on a mission and asked Jack Bauer to stay behind…and he actually stayed behind.  WTF?

This week the previews have Jack Bauer stumbling and falling down.  If you read Page Six in the NY Post you should know this is nothing new.  What implications will an imared Jack Bauer have on this week’s kill counter?  Do the writers of 24 have the balls to kill off Jack Bauer with 7 more episodes left?  Regardless,  I bet Larry Moss has a little voice in his head that sounds something like this: “you really should have brought along Jack Bauer, dumbass”.

Here are the points and winner from last week:
