Suresh Joachim is awesome (or crazy)
I thought I was a big 24 fan – seeing that I’ve been loyal since Hour 1 and have a website called Blogs4Bauer. I even have a CTU mouse pad. However Suresh Joachim of Sweden makes me look like like a poser.
TELEVISION addict Suresh Joachim has broken his own Guinness world record for nonstop broadcast-television watching, clocking 72 hours in Stockholm, Sweden.
Mr Joachim, a Sri Lanka native who lives in Toronto, watched three seasons of the drama series 24 featuring Kiefer Sutherland, according to Swedish TV4 spokeswoman Janina Witkowski. (source)
I want to know if he included Season 6 in his marathon. That would have set an endurance and torture record.
If you find this blog – Suresh – please email us.

He watched season 4-6. It was to promote the start of season 7. TV400 (small channel owned by TV 4) showed season 1-6 nonstop during six days, and had a competition where six teams (2 people/team) watched non stop in 24-hourpasses (person 1 in the teams watched season 1, and then the other teammember watched season 2 and then back to person 1 again for season 3 and so on).
The teams could get points (answering questions right) or lose points (falling asleep for example), and the team with the least points was eliminated from the “game” (this meant that there was only 1 team left after season 6, and they won 24 000 Swedish Krona).
Suresh Joachim began watching with season 4, together with a challenger. The woman who challenged the record did make it to about 40 hours before giving up.
